Life by Elio · Private companion

Keep the private practice close—and keep the files yours.

The website is where you meet Elio’s public work and member experiences. The companion app is where your own unfinished thoughts, highlights and reflections belong.

Website + app

Two surfaces, each doing the job it is actually good at.

This separation is a product promise, not a temporary technical workaround.

Capture with less resistance

Use the app for thoughts, saved perspectives, highlights and short calibrations at the moment they happen.

Markdown is the source of truth

Every personal entry is stored as a plain Markdown file on the device, alongside a small local system file for app state.

Private by architecture

Private note bodies are not sent to Life by Elio or stored in its member database. Accounts and entitlements stay separate from note content.

Distil only when it helps

Highlights and reflections support a personal framework over time. Public work appears on the website only through deliberate authoring—not automatic exposure.

Current build

The first private loop is being used before it is sold.

Today, the companion covers local capture, highlights, editing and calibration. iCloud folder coordination and optional AI-assisted distillation will be added only after the local practice is stable and trustworthy.
